Lutheran Women's Missionary LeagueThirty-three members and one guest attended our November “Tea Party.” Viann Montgomery began our evening with a devotion about Christiani-“tea”. It is good to take time from our busy lives to reflect on our bountiful blessings and what we can do in gratitude for all God does for us. We played several games which really had us thinking about words beginning with the letter “T”. It was interesting to hear all the words from the Bible we thought of. Members brought donations for our food shelf in addition to their annual November “Thank Offering”. So many families are in need of help during these difficult economic times. Let us all remember to include these families in our prayers and give what we can throughout the year to help them. Elections were held with the following people being elected; President – Bonnie Engel, Treasurer – Becky Hagemann with Executive Board members Sherry Latzig and Kathy Lutter. Thank you to those leaving office for the work they have done and to those current officers for their willingness to serve. Later on in the evening we were treated to homemade scones along with tiny sandwiches and desserts. Many of us brought our own tea cups and saucers. There were lots of special ones and we shared stories about them. It was a delightful evening of fellowship. We wish many of you could have enjoyed with us. Please come and see what closeness we share with each other and especially with our Lord. The next opportunity to do so will be at 6:30 PM on Monday, December 5. This is our annual Christmas Potluck Smorgasbord where there is always good food and fellowship. Serve the Lord with gladness. Happy Birthday to the following St. James Seniors in December:
